Next time you purchase a bunch of spring onions, pop them into the ground to grow your own! This is how I've grown all of my spring onions with tasty, tasty results.
1. Cut your spring onion where the white meets the green. Eat the green bit (recipe suggestions at the bottom!)
2. Plant bottom part (white part with roots) of spring onion into cultivated soil, leaving the top part poking out of the soil. Water in well.
3. Keep watered in dry weather and in a few weeks you should have home-grown, delicious spring onions!
